Where are temp sensors, 92 model? 700 1992

I have just bought a 92 745 Turbo, B230FT. I notice that it has an electric fan instead of the engine driven fan.
Can someone please tell me what turns the fan on? I have not found a sensor on the radiator yet so I am assuming it must be on the engine itself somewhere.

Am I correct in thinking that this fan also comes on with the a/c, perhaps at half speed? It does not have the helper fan in front of the radiator
I would like to get a full understanding of how this cooling system as different from the earlier models.
