alternator pulley and nut 140-160

I'm about to replace the alternator on my '71 144: the alt light is glowing dimly, and the alternator output is only 12.9 volts. Just enough to keep the battery at 12.5 volts most mornings, but I feel like I should replace it soon. I have a new replacement unit, but it's a different make to the existing one (old one is a Bosch, new one is Motorola). Does anyone know whether the pulley on the Bosch will fit the Motorola? Any tricks for removing the pulley nut would also be helpful. Thanks.
