Clunking door syndrome 200 1991

Does anyone have a cure for clunking door syndrome. 2 of my volvos have the same noise. When you open to the 1st rest position the spring pin kind of snaps back against the rollers and makes a creaking noise. The two rollers are positioned properly, are free moving and are lubed.
It appears to be the spring pin/hook that is the culprit. Front passenger on my 240 and both fronts on my S90 are afflicted. I have cleaned and lubed galore. I find if I gently hammer the pin a bit and get it to reposition the noise goes away but only for a little while until the pin reseats to its original spot and the clunking returns.
Any tips, lube, adjustments?
