Lots of SU problems 120-130 1966

Hi,
I haven't played with SUs in many a long year (I've got DCOEs on my 122 and 142) but Ron Kwas' article is a mine of information, as always.

http://sw-em.com/su_carbs.htm

They really are a very simple device compared to US type carbs (or webers for that matter). The worst thing about their design is the shafts run in bushes which wear. This means that air leaks and althought you can get the mixture right at idle, it can be way out under power. If the shaft bushes are worn on with your carbs, get that fixed first. The rest is pretty straight forward.

Good luck!
