re-positioning the seatback release lever 120-130

Hi all!

My 1970 RHD 2-door Amazon comes with the seat-back release lever on the 'wrong side' for the driver; it's located on the inside of the seat, which makes it difficult to do that nifty movement when you have both hands full, and you want to tread on the lever and push the back with your knee, to get your two bags of shopping onto the back seat in one easy movement. I think it may have been positioned as it is so that the driver of a LHD car can let people into the back easily, without leaning right over, but I find that I would rather it was on the outside of the seat.

So...is this just a question of getting the right spindle, with its lever on the outside, and swapping it in, or are there pitfalls with this? THanks for any advice.

Tom
