Checking blower motor 140-160 1971

Hi

One thing worth trying is re-soldering the leads to the motor right where they enter, as I described a little in the post referenced below:

http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/volvo/1223222/140-160/142_heater_blower_motor_troubs.html

It worked perfectly on my '70 142. It was a very strange problem- corrosion had apparently crept in to the two otherwise fine-looking solder joints.

The heater box has to come out and all, but at least it's not the horror of the later 240 style.

Good luck!

Jim
