Need help identifying 940's water pump 900 1992

Hi Folks,

My favorite brother-in-law is chasing a coolant leak in his 940. He has identified the source of the coolant, but has baffled me with his question about what it is coming from.

He has the pump removed and in his hands, telling me there's a rectangular black plastic or rubber piece on the pump's lower side, from where it is leaking.

On the other hand, I've been telling him about the donut seal to the head, but he says that isn't a problem.

Is there any brand of pump that has something like what he describes? I have a Hepu in my hand, and have had many other B230 pumps, without anything that sounds like that.
