Overheating - Alternator Issues 120-130

Hi George,

I was hoping you'd chime in...that hose is for my block heater. It goes from the head into the block and is where the temp switch for the e-fan runs. That was the way it was plumbed on my old B18 and I never had a problem. Could this be part of the problem...it never was before, I think it should just circulate water from the head to the block.

Here's the old B18

So adding a little timing should help? I'll give that a try.

I've got the mechanical SEV regulator for the alternator - I'm basically running off the battery as far as I can tell. I've checked where I've got power from the battery and it's in all the right places at the alt and the regulator. When running there is no increase in voltage. The mechanical regulator that I have is in a plastic box and I don't think I can get it apart without hacking it up.

I've wired it so that the green wire goes to DF and the red wire goes to 61 (with alt light). The Battery is attached to the B+ post.

Anything wrong here?
Craig
