Arrrgh! '93 245 booster woes???? 200 1993

So I have a code2-2-1 . I also had a fluctuating idle when depressing the firm brake pedal. So I searched around tb and other places and was pretty convinced the booster needed replacement. Went to PNP and retreived the correct booster and spent half my day replacing the damn thing. I managed to sneak the booster in without having to open the hydraulic system and therefore thought that bleeding the brakes was unnecessary.

So now my problem is I still have a 2-2-1 code and a fluctuating idle when the brake pedeal is NOT depressed. I also have a mushy pedal but still have brakes. It will literally put you throught the windshield if you press the brake pedal down far enough. Fluid is at the proper level and the idle smooths out if I remove and plug the booster's vacuum line.

What the heck did I do. I am soo lost.
