Mass Air Flow Meter Woes Final Chapter 700 1986

I posted this over at Turbobricks, I wanted to CC here as well just to update anyone that's interested on the outcome of my previous problem. (Thanks to everyone that's helped me on both of these great forums!!!):

Now the bad news, all the work I was doing on this car was to prepare it for a trip the wife and I had planned to Kansas last September to visit some family. Around 4K miles round trip from here. We got about 200 miles and the car started acting up really bad, MAF symptoms again. I had a spare so I pulled over and replaced it. Car ran a bit better, but still not right. Turned around to head back home and it started acting up again. I pulled the plug to get it in limp home mode and crawled home and started out in the pickup the next day.

Well, I'm sorry to report that that was the last straw. I'm giving up on that car and getting out of Volvos for the time being. I'll miss this car, but this is it. The car has the upgraded wiring harness, I've replaced the distributor and HALL sensor, the power stage, the coil, and a few MAF sensors and it still let me down.

I'll post an add in the classifieds here with more details if anyone wants to buy my albatross. It'll come with an identical parts car and a 760 Turbo Diesel.

I want to thank everyone here for all the help with this car and all the great information, this is definitely a great resource.
