Brake light woes 200 1991

Hey on my 91 245 the brake lights are acting up. First the bulb failure sensor would light up when the brake pedal was depressed, but the brake lights still worked. Then the passenger side light went out. Replaced the bulb
and cleaned the contacts. Still have the out passenger side brake light, What gives? Might need to buy a test light I also have some spare Bulb Failure Sensors sitting in the closet.
