mod's 700

Hey Eric,

I have done the horn modification to my '90 745. There are four horns in total, two on each side, located behind the grille. I used two of the high tone 'european style' and two of the high tone 'highway blaster' horns. They are connected through a 20 amp relay with a fuse to the battery. Its very loud, and 'European' sounding. All the horns I used were the disc type, not the trumpet style. Other things I have heard of that I find interesting are electric fan conversions on the cars equipped with a mechanical primary fan. Many use a fan from a 940 from a junkyard. This is somewhat controversial in some circles, with the 'what if the fan fails?' argument, and so forth. Another thing I like is fitting the coolant loss indicator with the late style catch bottle as found on 7 and 960 models. Details can be found in the FAQ. I have been thinking about adding component speakers to my '92 744. I would keep the stock speaker grilles intact.

Regards, Jon 'Uncle Olaf'
