95 960, any tips on cleaning dirty engine? 900

My engines dirty.

I tried to search the board but couldn't find anything specific for the 960.

Are there any specific tips for this car I need to know before cleaning up the engine/wiring/hoses etc?

cuz' it's all dirty.

I figure hand clean exposed wiring connections and wrap them up with plastic, then degrease/clean and rinse with hose.
