wiring harness 200

Hi folks, just bought a different volvo. I upgraded from a 84 gl to a 86 sw. with manual trans. I like it alot but it has a few problems. Had to do the rear brakes right off the bat, brakes on volvos are relativly easy compared to some so I got that done in no time. I have moved on to the wiring problems.
My biggest problem is I need a engine harness and they are getting harder to come by all the time. I do, however have the harness for the 84 that I replaced. How much difference is there between an engine harness on a 84gl auto and a 86 sw manual? Anybody know?
The problems right now are no dash light, one brake light on rear and the rear wiper. The od is out also which may be electrical. I have a relay in the dash clacking loudly most of the time. My plan is to switch out the engine harness then the ignition and then others as they fail. Thanks alot for any help, I realize this is a hard question but if anybody has the answer it would be you guys. (suckin up) Thanks, Ron
