Cheap handling performance mod, working great 700

Hey,

After I got the front struts replaced on the 740 I was still a little disappointed with the handling, the stock springs are too spongy.

I didn't want to spend money on new springs.

So I went to the auto parts store and bought some of these rubber coil spring boosters, that people use in their rear coils when they are towing stuff and being stupid about overloading their vehicles... anyways, I bought the smallest set, such that they fit perfectly in the front coils without raising or lowering the car at all. I put them at the bottom of the spring, near the seat, one rubber block on each side of the coil so it's balanced. They just keep the bottom coil from compressing, is all.

I figure I probably made the springs about 5-10% stiffer... the car handles WAY better. Seriously!

Cost: 7 bucks.

Time spent: 10 minutes.

:D
