Time to dump the Weber...advice needed. 140-160 1971

So I have had all I can take with my finicky, stumbling, won't idle well, and won't shut off well down draft Weber! I think going back to stock duel carbs would be a huge benefit. I need some guidance however. Which carbs should I look for? I see the chatter about Strombergs and Solexes. Is one superior over the other. Other than a manifold what other parts should I be looking for? My engine is well modified but not radical. I am looking for any advice in this department.

And of course, I you have a good set of carbs you would like to part with, lets talk!

Thanks to everyone,
Wayne
