Rust Rear Window Frame 244 200

My rust free California 244 has developed a troublesome rust spot at the rear window. My biggest fear is that this could turn my car into a worthless piece of metal. I'm open to suggestions as to how bad this might be under the gasket, and how best to fix it. I think I should probably take it to a glass shop and get the rear window removed, pray it hasn't gone through the metal (hope springs eternal) and treat it with POR15 or Eastwood and have the glass put back in. Please tell me what you know...
