Is it OK to run with the steering wheel airbag temporarily disconnected? 900 1993

While troubleshooting my horn issue, I'd like to run with the steering wheel airbag temporarily disconnected.

I'm aware of the precautions regarding removal of the airbag (negative battery cable disconnected while removing), but I want to confirm that if I remove it, then reconnect the battery to drive and do horn tests, that there's no problem later if I again disconnect the battery and re-install the airbag.

I want to make sure that after all this, the airbag will resume normal operation. I want to be sure that the temporary absence of the airbag doesn't throw some kind of code that makes reconnection / resumed use a problem.
