Adding Voltmeter to instrument panel 700 1986

What a dolt I am!! I should have left well enough alone. I added a voltmeter from a 740 Turbo instrument panel to my 86 non-turbo instrument panel and BAM!!! No interior lights..no dash lights (except for the red 'idiot' lights), no lights for the ashtray or shift indicator. The parking lights still come on at Key Position 2 and the headlights turn on at KP 3. Fuses that the wiring diagram say are concerned are OK.
The panel was working great before, but now it may be the light switch burned out?
What a Kwinky-Dink.
Any ideas??
Gracias,
el Raidman
