Fried ground wire 700 1986

Previous owner had jumpered it with a bit of thick wire...no wonder I was able to buy the 740 SW for $600. With a good used (1989) 240 version of the B230 engine installed. Sure saves on distributor cap $$ when doing tuneups.
I've replaced the ground wire with a double 16 Gauge, but will try to find my black 12 Ga for a thicker, more heat resistant ground wire. I don't think I need it as I only use the lighter to power my cell phone charger, not the cigarette lighter as PO probably did.
Happy Holidays, Merry festivus,Happy Solstice, Merry Xmas,Feliz Navidad, etc.
