Plastic to seal the inside of the door? 200 1984

Hi Justin,

That vapor barrier is important to keep the panel from being damaged by moisture and mold. By all means, replace it with plastic. Take care to duplicate the shape of the paper and tuck all the lower tabs inside the door to keep the moisture running into the bottom and out the drains.

Here on this page are some pictures that may prove helpful in salvaging that door handle.
