EZ 116K Bently Confusion 200 1992

I left my Bently manual out in the rain. I tried to save it but it fell apart so I chucked it and bought another. Unfortunatly I also lost years of margin notes. Trouble shooting my '92 240 that has no spark comming from the coil center post I feel a little disoriented with the new manual.

Is a speed sender (Bently 280-12 #8) the same as an impulse sender (Bently 280-13) the same as a crankshaft position sensor?

At position 20 of the ECU harness I read an open circuit – no resistance.
Disconnecting the connector coming from the crankshaft sensor on the bell housing (thats what I call it) I find three connections.

All of the three leads read open circuit (no continuity)when tested against the engine ground. should one of them read 250 ohms as Bently states for position 20 of the ECU harness? Bently doesn't give readings for that sensor.
