46 degrees and cloudy.
Car started without a problem. I drove 1/2 mile to a traffic signal stop light, with several stop signs in between. When pulling away from the light the car came off the line with power but at about 5-10 miles and hour the power just stopped. More gas did nothing (I did not floor it - I just pressed the pedal enough to observe no result). There were no strange noises or rumbling or shakes.
I put on my hazards and drove back home and parked and let it warm up. First look under the hood saw no obvious problems. I turned it off. I started it again and drove out but the problem is still there.
I have power up to 5-10 mph and then the engine loses power. No other symptoms.
Current checks:
1) Air mass meter (AMM) – 2-3 (2.9 Ohm); 2-6 (362 k Ohm); 3-6 (365 k Ohm)
The Ohm reading from 2-3 at 2.9 is low and I know for a fact it has been that way since 12-10-08 when I last checked it due to a starting failure.
2) Throttle Switch – click? YES
3) Air filter – Filter is not excessively dirt, took one leaf out of box. Pre-0heat flap is still blocked open.
4) Ignition (?) ground wires – All look to be connected and in tact. I found 4: (1) block to body, (2) battery to body, (1) control unit to intake manifold.
