Are you sure about those studs' lengths needing to be longer? .... 140-160

re: "...you will need longer wheel studs to allow for the thicker vented disk..."

Are you sure about this, from personal knowledge?

I once upgraded my old 1980 240 that had solid rotors to brakes from a 1984 that had vented rotors (and of course swapped the calipers as well :-).

But there was no problem, because the "hat" of the rotor, the part that sits over, and slides onto, the hub and its studs was no thicker than the solid rotor it replaced. In other words, the rotor is thicker on the area that serves as the swept area of the brakes, but the central part was identical.
