Which J 140-160

The 25/115614 115240

is on the M410 I got from a 70 1800.

The 25/115602 010532

I bought by itself.

Been working on a stalled project to put the M410 into a 68 144. Have most of what I need except time until now to get it done. Pulling a BW35. I don't know what I will need as yet as far as the front driveshaft and OD yoke.

I took the J off the M410 replace the gaskets. No reason just to do so while I had it off the car. I'm also replacing the O rings while doing this. When the J came off the M410 a pilot bushing came out of the J from very rear of the J. I had to take the back back of the J apart. Took sometime to locate a bushing overseas. While I was doing this I debated just using the other J. I'm at the point of replacing all the O rings and still was undecided on which J to use. Since I had the J that came off the M410 down to nothing I could see all else looked good.

I was asking about the serial numbers as it appears the pressure relief vavle got updated in the J over the years. Also, the sprag in the rear part had a newer design. One of the OD solenoid had a loose body and was of the style you can't rebuild. The other solenoid has the snap ring so I'm in the process of rebuilding that one. I do need a new snap ring as the old one got bent removing it. Rest of the solenoid came apart just fine. Think I will keep an eye out for a spare soleniod to as spare and also as a mate to the extra J.
