Converting a Cable Clutch to Hydraulic 200

At 50k your clutch should have minimal wear--unless you slip the clutch a lot--one of my college friends used to show off his clutch control by using it to hold his VW bus at traffic lights in hilly Kansas City--then wondered why he only got 10k out of a clutch. With the new info of a recent clutch and a changing condition with lube--throw in a new Volvo cable and be done with it. But if you insist--1976 260's through the last of them ('82?) had hydraulics. Your '82 240 will have an oval cover plate on the firewall where the M/C mounts. The slave cylinder sits in a round bracket cast as part of the V6 bellhousing. I think the bracket diameter is the same as the cable bracket in the 240 bellhousing. You'll have to have a fork which pivots on the near side of the release bearing (the 260 or maybe a 122/P1800 will fit).
