142 stalls in reverse! 140-160

After getting the 142 stuck in the snow last week (waited too long to put the snow tires on) I find myself having a problem that precipitated from hard snow driving (I believe)- When I was driving in the snow and opened the throttle in reverse the car sputtered, then today (the first time I had driven it in almost a week) I pulled up to the gas pump and in reverse the car was jumping as the engine turned? And when I arrived at home I found that as I reversed to park, the car jumped when placed in "R" and stalled out. I hope you all have some ideas. Incidentally there is a squeal that happened occasionally which seemed to come from the drive train and a sensation that the shaft was wobbling. Thank You.
