If the hill was REALLY steep, then the oil could have run forward out of the sump onto the flat section and maybe got on the crank. With lots of vacuum descending the hill in a low gear, yes oil could have been drawn past the rings and or the valve guides (if it is a B18 with stock valve seals for sure that can happen).
As long as the smoke clears, all is well more than likely.
