The Strainer 120-130 1967

I was running a glass-bowl with the brass mesh strainer and the filter between the pump and the carbs - when the thing clogged up with very fine grit. I now run with later model metal-dome AC pump and a PRE-pump disposable filter. I don't bother with a post-pump filter any longer.

If you suspect crud in your tank be sure you set up the pre-pump filter as others have recommended. I used to go with the clear glass filter but I was worried about it being shattered on the upper A-arm bolts so when things finally started to clear up, I switched to a $3.00 plastic filter and switched it out every few months.
