Sluggish '84 240 200 1984

I just bought an '87 245 that acted the same. It seemed to hesitate or miss under acceleration. Cleaning up the power supply connections to the fuel injection cleared that problem.

I'm learning that somethings (i.e. speedos) change pretty quickly on mid-80s Volvos, so your FI might not be the same, but on mine: There is a smaller red wire coming off the + battery post. Clean the connection. There is a fuse holder on the other end of the smaller red wire. Clean those connections too. Shine up the spades on the 25A fuse. This circuit supplies the power to the FI.

When it warms up a little (-17F right now) I'm going to clean up the grounds.

Greg
