Hi Ken,

I'd tell you how I prep the threads on cam, i-shaft, and crank sprocket bolts, but it would not be good advice for all. I was curious if you'd tell us specifically how you've been tightening those bolts, at least those on the cam and i-shaft.

In a thread on the 700 forum, Uncle Olaf posted a link offering some interesting stuff on automotive fasteners, probably some of the same wisdom your friends are getting. Reading it probably won't change how I install the three bolts you are asking about, but it does have me second guessing some of my other methods.
