Sluggish '84 240 200 1984

It could be stale gas causing a problem since it's been idle for two years.

I would replace all of the rubber engine vacuum tubing because it probably brittle and causing leaks.

If you still have the original engine wiring harness with brittle wires, replace it with a revised new or used wiring harness. Dave Barton has a web site that sell them. It will save you future problems. See:

A problem fuel pump relay which should be resoldered, and a faulty airbox thermostat (which is probably dead) are highly likely candidates. Airbox thermostat is easy to check, just take it out of the air box and place it in a cup of crushed ice. It should retract and when it warms up will expand. If it does neither, replace it.

You should also repack the bearings on your front hubs since they are probably dry and easy to DIY.
