Repair Gone Bad 700

We have a 740 GLE 1990 that was simply stalling out with Tach dropping to Zero instantly. Replaced the Crankshaft sensor which was a chore in itself. Now the engine misfires and basically won't start. Will run very rough briefly with AMM unplugged.
Any suggestions. Need to reset computer, check O2 Sensor, put old Crankshaft sensor back in?
