Swapping trans-pull engine&trans or drop trans? 900 1994

it is much easier to leave the transmission attached to the engine. disconnect the transmission at the drive shaft end, and then do all you normal engine pulling disconnects...then pull the entire unit as one piece. disconnecting the transmission from the engine on your garage floor is sooo simple compared to under the car.

make sure you disconnect the shifter lingage and all appropriates wires down there before pulling the unit.

if i was doing this job i would as matter of habit install a fresh rear main seal on the pulled engine, new gaskets on all the easy to install transmission locations before re installing it in the drive car

i would after doing all the seals and such re install the engine and transmision as one unit.
