Yes. Eric has a keen eye. I was so focused on other stuff I didn't even see that.
That would be a good and easy fix, but I Would have to buy another alternator.

Since I'm not too worried about this alternator, I might try the grinder notching idea on the alternator mounting point (sleeve?) where the long bolt goes through, so It can slide over the end tab of the bracket and gain the half inch forward position.

And I have a spare bracket too, so I might drill the holes farther back like you said. I just wasn't sure if I'd have enough room because the stock holes are so big because of the grommet things.

At least now I have a few options.
