replacement rocker panels

My '89 240 will not pass the annual safety inspection here in Western Mass. due to new state guidelines concerning rust. The drivers side rocker panel rust is quite extensive starting at the rear door / wheel well area. The floor panels are still solid with no holes. I did a "search" here and checked the "Mill Supply" web site for a replacement panel. They list replacement rocker panels, but only up to 1985 model year. Does anyone know if a panel from earlier years will fit my '89? The car has 330,000 miles but still runs well and I'd like to get another couple of years out of it. The only real problem is the rocker panel. The passenger side rocker panel is in much better condition with very little rust.
