cam plug? 900

Hi all,

I have a 93 940 with an 8 valve engine. Oil seems to be pouring out the back of the engine around where the back of the cam would be. I have read and looked at other postings, but none seem to describe my engine configuration.

My distributor is in the front of the engine and not on the back. On the back of the cam area on my engine, there is some sort of strange round sheet metal looking cap. Is there a cam position sensor? I didn't think this year had one. My valve cover looks like a normal type rectangular cover except the rear of the cover has a half round back that seems to mate up with the aforementioned sheet metal round cap.

Is there a cam plug hidden under this round sheet metal cap? I my configuration, do I need to remove the sheet metal cap and valve cover to get to whatever seals?

I realize that I must replace the flame trap and will do so once I figure out what is causing the leak.

Thanks for any ideas.

Seth
