Engine sputtering 700 1992

My 740 station wagon has been giving me trouble again. The engine seems to "miss" once in awhile. At times the car sputters quite a bit before it runs normally. As I drive, the car will lurch as the engine seems to "miss." Any suggestions?

Also, any suggestions on how to keep the supports for the back door hatch from slipping in cold weather. I've replaced them over the years but sense there might be something I could adjust to solve the problem.
