Charging light pulsing while driving..... 200 1986

Good morning to all. A few days ago, while driving into work while dark outside, I noticed that my charging idiot light was on dimly. When I got to work, I checked the tension of the belts to the alternator and noted they were fine. This is a reman unit from Autozone with about 150K miles on it. I had replaced the voltage regulator/brushes about 60K miles ago. I also have a new battery that's less that a year old. I took the car into AZ to get the charging system checked and they said all was up to specs. I went ahead a got a new regulator/brushes and this morning, the charge light was still on, but this time it was pulsating slightly. Could this be the actual alternator? The unit has a lifetime warranty, so it won't cost me anything but an hour of my time to replace it.

Thanks in advance for your opinions on this. I don't want it to strand me.
