740 won't start. Seems like no fuel 700 1990

I have switched the fuel injection relay in the dash console with a new relay. I can feel the click on as ignition goes on but I cannot here the main fuel pump prime.

When the relay cover is off I operate the switches inside the fuel injection relay with my finger. Doing this I can I think hear the fuel tank pump activate. But I don't think I am hearing the main fuel pump ever.

My fuel pump is only a year old? Might have failed?

I have switched the Radio Suppression Relay with the Cooling Fan Relay. No help. The Radio Suppression Relay did fail 2 years ago so it is a new relay.

My distibutor and cables are all just a few months old.

I have not switched the RPM/Crankshaft sensor.

It seems like the fuel pump. Maybe it has not failed but is not getting power?

What else could cause the fuel pump to not get power other than the fuel injection relay?

I have checked all fuses.

Any thoughts?

Dean
