Intermittent electrical problem 200 1986

Matt,
Thanks for the response.
My mechanic said that he had checked the alternator and that it is charging really well.
I had this alternator completely re-built a little over a year ago.
I do see the logic behind what you are saying but from what we have found it really doesn't sound as if this is the case.
As I said, the last thing the mechanic did yesterday was put a new, fully charged battery into the car.
He then pulled it out into the lot and it sat there until my daughter tried to bring it home.
Even if the battery wasn't getting a charge, it should start more than once on a new, fully charged battery.
I'm open to any other ideas you might have.
Thanks,
Dave
