1992 240 trunk is leaking 200

well back to the one car that I DO own: my 92 240 has a leaky trunk. Is it the weather stripping? it looks fine to me. no accidents or distortions of the trunk body. why is it leaking? i can't even tell where the leak is coming from. If it's the weather stripping then I'm S.O.L. because that is $180 from the local volvo parts dealer!!! I'd imagine a used one from a wrecking yard would be in even worse condition, so why even waste time replacing it? It must be something else. Should I lock myself in the trunk and have a friend spray the damn thing with water from a hose to find out where the leak is?

what the hell is going on here? anyone ever experience this?
your comments are appreciated!! THank you!!
