Fuel Accumulator Vacuum Nipple 200 1977

I'm working my way through the fuel system on a 1977 242DL project car in hopes of getting it started again and I'm stumped on the fuel accumulator.

When I started work on the car the fuel pump assembly (i.e. pump, accumulator and mounting brackets) were hanging loose under the vehicle due to the failure of the rubber mounts. Now that I have run new fuel lines and am ready to put everything back together, I seem to be missing a vacuum line somewhere.

The accumulator has a vacuum nipple on one end that wasn't connected to anything when I started work, and for which I can't find any corresponding loose vacuum line.

I'm assuming that if there's a nipple there, it serves some purpose and must be connected to a vacuum hose somewhere. Am I right?

Does anyone know where it should connect to?

Thanks in advance,

Paul
