Trading 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 for 1998 Volvo S90 S90-V90

Hi all,

I usually meander around the 200 section as I own a '92 240. I bought the 240 about a year ago to cope with fuel costs and kept my Jeep. Well. even now that gas is relatively cheap, I hardly drive it because driving the 240 is just that much cheaper. Also, seeing that I've spent less than $50 in necessary repairs that year (not including maintenance) and I've spent well over $1000.00 on the Jeep in that same period, I really don't care for the Jeep anymore. I found a 1998 Volvo S90 for sale locally on a lot and am seriously considering trading my Jeep for it. I drove it and everything seemed well and its got 135k miles. My 240 has 215k miles. My Jeep has 138k miles. I know newer Volvos dont compare to older ones, but the S90 was that last RWD 'BOX' Volvo. Will I be frustrated with the S90 or will it be similarly reliable as my 240? I know this varies and depends on maintenance, etc; but as a general rule are the S90s good choices?

Thanks

-Chad
