Heater problems, will have help.... 700 1987

Hi guys,

I asked an instructor at my community college if their students would like some experience doing my heater core, and they said tentatively yes. It will be a little while, though, and I'm still dealing with the leaky core. I will be trying the pepper trick, since it will only be a little while. If that doesn't work, I have a copper elbow I will use to bypass it.

After the cooling system is drained, for the core replacement, I will ask for a system flush to get the pepper (and decade-old tranny fluid) out of the coolant passageways.

Is there anything else I need to do to make the pepper an effective and non-harmful solution?

Thanks!

Ari
