Fan Motor/Impeller Clips 200 1986

Well, after almost six years of ownership, I finally decided to attempt the blower motor in my '86 240. It's been both easier and harder than I imagined. The new motor is now mounted and test-running nicely.

But due to my ignorance of the proper removal method, I managed to break one of the metal clips that hold the impeller wheels to the motor shaft.

Can new clips be had at the dealer? Does anyone have an alternative fastener they've used successfully? Any suggestions/hard experience would be most appreciated,

Brendan in Seattle
