Speaker feedback issue 120-130

OK. Here is my problem...1967 122S..first question: alternator or generator...are all generaters 6V? Whatever it is, it is stock....I put in a shaft style radio, nothing fancy...15 watts x 2....so it is grounding via the dash....I have the power wire going to direct to the ignition.

Anyway, the question is: I have terrible feedback that is engine noise. it gets louder as the engine revs up. With the engine off, there is no feedback at all. Speakers are good.

I know you can get kits to cut down on feedback, but, by '64 1800 never had any issues.

does anyone have any suggestions?
