Radio and speaker questions 200 1987

Today I removed the Kenwood radio and replaced it with the Volvo radio (sr2120) harvested from our '84 parts car. The door mounted speakers were in tatters, so they got replaced by the ones from the '84 also.

The front speakers do not work. The previous owner had installed a set of Volvo rear speakers, they do work.

Will this radio drive both sets of speakers ?

In the Bentley wiring diagram, it looks like there is a connector somewhere between the radio plug and the door speakers. Is that true or is that the connection at the speaker ?

If there are additional connections, where are they ?

Thanks

Greg

ps I have a Kenwood KCR 424 AM/FM Cassette player available for shipping. AM and FM bands work fine. I have no idea how to set the clock.
