trailer wiring adapter 960/850 1997

I have a 1997 960 that I have been trying to set up to pull a cargo trailer. I bought the $160 dollar Volvo wiring harness that adapts the OEM wiring to North American standard, and installed it. So I now have a 7 pin connector at the rear of the car, that is supposed to be for North America. Unfortunately I have been unable to find an adapter anywhere that will allow me to hook up a flat 4 pin standard trailer connector (Uhaul type) to this 7 pin terminal. The Volvo 7 pin terminal has 7 round (not spade) female contacts. The only adapters I have found are female, and obviously I need a male adapter (such that one end of the adapter would be 7 male posts and the other end a flat 4 pin). Can anyone help? I have been going round and round on this for over a month now.
THanks
JD
