Bung Nut Tool and Removing Sender Unit Question

Howdy,

Can't help on the loan of a bung tool. I've been relying on the makeshift arrangement I first used 10 years ago, and I'm just lucky, I guess, it continues to do the job.

The trick to getting the sender assembly out I can only sum up as patience. Every time I do it, I think I'll have the benefit of previous experience, or be able to put into words, even photograph a technique to share, but it escapes me. It is just a puzzle with the best tip I can recall is to get the short end of the sock out of the hole before the float, and don't force anything.
